Job: Seasonal Flyer Distributor & Community Representative
An opportunity to earn additional income, spend time outdoors, and represent a local Edmonton business.
Weatherproof Roofing is looking for dependable, friendly people to help distribute door hangers and flyers throughout selected neighbourhoods. You’ll also have opportunities to speak with homeowners, introduce our services, and connect interested residents with our team.
About the role
Your primary responsibility will be delivering promotional materials accurately and respectfully along assigned routes. Should homeowners be available and interested, you’ll briefly introduce Weatherproof’s services.
Our winter campaign includes roof repairs, attic insulation, and permanent all-season lighting. We’ll provide training and approved information so you feel comfortable answering basic questions and referring more detailed inquiries to our team.
No roofing experience is required. Reliability, good judgment, and courteous communication are essential.
What you’ll do
Deliver door hangers and flyers to homes along assigned neighbourhood routes.
Represent Weatherproof Roofing in a friendly, professional manner.
Share basic information about our services when homeowners are interested.
Refer technical questions and estimate requests to the Weatherproof team.
Record your working hours, completed routes, and any properties skipped.
Track materials received, distributed, and returned.
Follow our safety procedures and communicate with your supervisor during each shift.
What makes someone successful
Dependability: Arrive as agreed and communicate promptly if your availability changes.
Careful delivery: Complete assigned routes accurately and place materials securely and respectfully.
Good judgment: Recognize when to answer a basic question and when to refer it to our team.
Respect for homeowners: Honour posted signs, protect privacy, and leave promptly when someone is not interested.
Honest reporting: Provide accurate records of time worked and routes completed.
Safety awareness: Skip unsafe access, report hazards, and follow weather-related instructions.
A helpful approach: Make homeowners aware of their options without pressure or exaggerated claims.
Working outdoors
This role involves regular walking, carrying promotional materials, and using residential walkways and steps in winter conditions.
You’ll need suitable winter clothing and footwear, access to a mobile phone during shifts, and a reliable way to reach your assigned area. Please let us know if you require an accommodation during the application process or to perform the role.
You will not climb ladders, inspect roofs, enter homes, provide technical assessments, or collect payments.
Pay, scheduling, and introductory period
Starting pay: $25 per hour.
Paid training: Orientation and required training are paid.
Scheduling: We arrange shifts in advance based on your availability, campaign needs, daylight, and safe weather conditions.
Initial assessment: We propose a two-week paid introductory period, targeting approximately 12–20 hours of work.
Feedback: We’ll check in after your first shift and review the arrangement together at the end of the introductory period.
Additional work may be available based on campaign needs, safe operating conditions, and suitability for the role. Hours may vary.
